This is a simple song... sort of pop sounding... it just came out that way. It is a story about having a fantasy about someone... a "life in my mind". I thought the song a little young for me... but I squeezed one take out that worked nicely for an old man who doesn't know what he is doing.

Life In My Mind

© Mark Betcher

I walk down to the blue sky
I saw you floating there
Sun yellow through tie dye
Flesh shape hint light as air

Life in my mind is what you're good for

A smile pulls me towards the white light
It seems like I'm heaven bound
No more day, I left at midnight
Followed a voice of guitar string sound

Life in my mind is what you're good for

Now that I'm wrapped up in you
I'm not going anywhere
Look away, you look there too
Now you don't seem to care

Life in my mind is what you're good for

I stare up at my ceiling
My dog licks at my face
Another day that lacks feeling
Just another dream to contemplate

Life in my mind is what you're good for
